XML関連の標準化団体Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards（OASIS）は現地時間2012年1月16日、クラウドコンピューティング環境におけるアプリケーションやサービスの連携強化を目指した技術委員会「Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications（TOSCA）Technical Committee（TC）」の発足を発表した。
